Department of Civil Engineering has been at the Polytechnic since the establishment of the Manado State Polytechnic which was inaugurated on July 19, 1988. Initially the Department of Civil Engineering has held a D2 Program education since 1987 along with four other majors, namely: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Commerce.
Then in 1998 the status was upgraded from D2 to D3. The status of the graduate degree is A.Md.TS and SST for D4

Vision
To become a leading center for vocational education in the field of information technology that can produce graduates who are able to compete in regional, national and international work centers in accordance with globally applicable competency standards.
Mission
- Organizing vocational education programs that are always oriented to industrial needs and the development of ICT knowledge
- Developing a high academic culture and discipline for the entire academic community of the Informatics Engineering study program
- Provide laboratory facilities, study rooms, comfortable and adequate lecturer rooms to support a conducive academic atmosphere
- Continuously implement human resource development programs for the academic community in the field of information technology by referring to professional competency standards that apply nationally and internationally
- To be a pioneer in developing applied research in the field of Informatics Engineering
- Always maintain and improve cooperation with stakeholders to be able to make a real contribution to the existence of the Informatics Engineering study program
- Produce graduates who are competent in the field of ICT, independent, innovative, adaptive, skilled and have the ability in the field of entrepreneurship and are able to compete at national and international levels
Department of Mechanical Engineering started from a Diploma II program and increased to a Diploma III, and has now been upgraded to a Diploma IV program.
